Download Straits Times iPhone Application For General Election News

Get the latest election news, videos and analyses on the go, with The Straits Times iPhone application.

The SG Election application, available on Friday 22 Apr 2011, from App Store, offers iPhone users one-stop coverage of the upcoming general election from Singapore's biggest English daily.

The Straits Times' editor Mr Han Foo Kwang, siad: We already have an ST iPhone app that's hugely popular with our readers and we now want to extend it to our general election coverage."

Since it was launched in 2007, The Straits Times' iPhone app has been downloaded nearly 350,000 times.

"There's lots of breaking news through the day during this general election period and the iPhone is really the ideal device to keep tabs on all that's happening when you are on the go.

SG Election features include:
  • Breaking News: Get real-time news on the various parties and candidates, including real-time results on Polling days.
  • Videos: See and hear how candidates perform and handle themselves in interviews.
  • Rallies: Find out where and when poitical rallies will be held.
  • Blogs: Read Straits Times journalists' take on campaign issues, as well as pieces by guest writers such as political observers Terence Chong and Cherian George.
